Qualisys Motion Capture System

Technical Specifications

We conduct biomechanical research using a laboratory setup with 20 synchronized Qualisys cameras for high-precision 3D motion capture. This infrastructure enables detailed analysis of human movement in controlled experimental conditions and is suitable for studies focused on gait analysis, sports technique, rehabilitation, ergonomics, and other biomechanical laboratory applications. Our motion capture system allows us to record and evaluate full-body kinematics, movement patterns, joint trajectories, coordination, balance, and performance-related parameters. The collected data can be combined with additional sensing technologies, such as force measurement, wearable sensors, biosignal recording, or XR systems, to provide a more complete understanding of movement and interaction. We also apply biomechanical methods in research related to humanoid robotics, including human motion analysis for robotic movement design, comparison of human and robotic locomotion, human-inspired motion modeling, and experimental evaluation of robotic systems. This creates opportunities for interdisciplinary projects connecting biomechanics, robotics, sensing, artificial intelligence, and human-centered technology.
